Bobby and Reidy met in Madrid, Spain at a mutual friend's wedding in 2025. Reidy was the groom's high school friend, and more recently the bride and groom's yoga teacher in Atlanta. She was asked to lead the wedding guests in a class there in Madrid. Bobby, who landed at 5am and was unable to check in and rest, gracefully walked into the class that morning. Reidy introduced herself at the thermostat, "You're Bobby. I've heard a lot about you."

Over lunch and a decent amount of white wine that day, they immediately hit it off, chatting about travels and swapping pictures of their adorable nieces. Despite some nudges, Reidy initially wrote off starting a relationship (in general, and) with someone who lived in a different city. But over time, she started to realize that this could be the real deal, and that Bobby was genuine in his readiness to find the one.

Bobby and Reidy connected in Charlotte about a month later, and established the relationship over their 'first date,' haha. They had discussed everything that needed to be discussed over the phone up to that point, and quickly realized in person that with their compatibility and hopes for the future, a life together would suit both of them (semi) seamlessly. They coin communication, mutual support, and maximizing fun and memory-making as how they navigated the long distance relationship for the first seven months.

Bobby and Reidy shared the holidays together with their families for the first time, rang in the New Year, got back to work, and just like that, their two lives were integrated in the same city (Charlotte). Oh yeah, and Bobby proposed on day one (kind of our thing!) of a Memorial Day Weekend and World Cup break trip to Jackson, WY in May 2026.

Bobby and Reidy would do anything for one another, and both value their family and friends above all else. They can't wait to celebrate at the wedding with their nearest and dearest, and enter this next chapter both the happiest they have ever been, as witnessed by all those around!
